These are something i have found myself increasingly doing. I'll look at old crochet patterns and attempt to draw the negative space, mainly because i like patterns and i like old peoples hobbies. I think these were so much better in my head. I just found i didnt know what to do with them and that they looked so unfinished.
I think you need to add some colour :D

Natalie Nicholson, i refer you to my previous post in which i show why colour is not and never will be recommendable for me. But yes this may be what it needs.
